Case study · 2026 · 3D / Motion
A whirring, wooden Rube Goldberg contraption imagined as a factory for digital collectibles — built entirely in 3D, plank by plank, gear by gear, one absurd mechanism at a time.
01 · The concept
The brief poked fun at the NFT gold rush: what if minting was a physical, ridiculous, entirely analog process? The answer was a toy-shop machine — plywood, brass pins, glass vials — that looks handmade but runs like clockwork.
Every gear, belt and lever was modeled and rigged to move in believable sequence, then lit and rendered with warm, tactile materials — wood grain, painted metal, glass catching light — so the joke reads as craft, not clutter.
